World Screen: BIG Media Sends True-Crime Titles to Pluto TV & Roku

BIG Media has inked licensing deals for two true-crime series with Pluto TV in the U.K. and Canada and Roku in the U.S.

Pluto TV picked up the first season of Crime Exposé with Nancy O’Dell for the U.K. Roku in the U.S. also acquired the series, which sees the titular Emmy Award-winning journalist and host unravel the twists and turns of murder cases across the U.S.

Pluto TV Canada, meanwhile, licensed seasons one and two of iCRIME with Elizabeth Vargas.

iCRIME sees the eponymous Emmy- and Peabody-winning journalist view raw, live footage of actual crimes as they unfold and conduct interviews with victims, witnesses, law enforcement and the amateur videographers themselves.

“Our true-crime library continues to resonate with platforms and viewers worldwide,” said Danny Wilk, co-founder and president of BIG Media. “Crime Exposé and iCRIME have already proven to be breakout successes in U.S. syndication, and we’re thrilled to expand their global footprint. Pluto TV remains a terrific partner, and we’re excited for their U.K. and Canadian audiences to dive into these compelling, addictive shows.”
