BIG Media has secured distribution deals with Prime Video, Roku and Tubi for pro football documentary Offseason.
“Offseason delivers exactly the kind of authentic, athlete-driven storytelling audiences are hungry for right now,” said Danny Wilk, president and co-founder of BIG Media. “With the Super Bowl serving as the cultural apex of the NFL calendar, the timing of these streaming deals allows us to introduce the series when fan interest is at its peak, while offering a fresh perspective that goes far beyond what happens on the field.”
Offseason is a production of Maverick Media Group, written and directed by Justin Polk, Tevin Tavares and Jocelyn Rose Lyons. The executive producers of the series are former NFL tight end Jordan Reed, Dr. Chirag Patel and Marc Whitaker II.
Offseason offers an intimate look at the lives of elite NFL football players during the months they spend between professional football seasons. David Njoku, Penei Sewell, Trey Hendrickson, George Kittle and Ricky Pearsall, among other players, are featured in season one.
The series is available for viewing ahead of the Super Bowl on February 8.
