Filmed in iconic locations such as Melbourne's Queen Victoria Market and Prahran Market, the series emphasizes seasonal produce and accessible recipes. ​Over its nine seasons, My Market Kitchen has been hosted by several notable chefs, many of whom are alumni of MasterChef Australia. The current host, Laura Sharrad, joined the show in 2021 and continues to lead it as of 2025.
