SYNOPSIS:

Luke Nguyen embarks on a vibrant street food journey through Southeast Asia, exploring the flavors, traditions, and personalities that define each city. In Saigon, he samples pork breakfasts, crab soup, flaming charcoal dishes, and pho from a family restaurant operating for 70 years. Bangkok brings sweet Thai pancakes, succulent pork belly, jumping shrimp, bustling Chinatown curries, and boat food at the Amphawa Floating Markets. In Kuala Lumpur, Luke discovers flying noodles, night markets, fish balls, century eggs, steamed chicken, and handmade noodles crafted with a beer bottle. His adventure concludes in Jakarta, where he tastes turmeric-braised chicken, gado-gado, turtle soup, lamb testicles, and nasi goreng prepared in enormous street-side woks.
