SYNOPSIS:

Adversity and misfortune have been constant elements in the life of Valeria Aguirre (Christina Dieckmann). Her origin is a mystery. She grew up in an orphanage and financial deprivation leads her to make wrong decisions until she is arrested for a minor crime. However, she must serve seven years of sentence because of the actions of the prosecutor Miguel Reyes (Ricardo Álamo) who accused her in court. Upon leaving jail, Valeria swears to take revenge on Miguel because she considers that the years in prison were too many for the crime she committed. However, her plans collapse when she realizes that she is in love with him. Miguel, who is going through difficulties in his marriage, does not stop thinking about Valeria and they begin a torrid romance. Imperio Laya De Trujillo (Nohelí Arteaga) is a powerful woman, used to getting what she wants and is obsessed with Miguel. That is why she sees Valeria as an obstacle and will do whatever it takes to get her out of her way. Ignacio Caballero, Imperio's lover, also notices Valeria and tries to make her fall in love with him. Imperio rages with great fierceness over Valeria and makes her lose everything, not knowing that it is her own daughter, and when her secret is revealed, everyone's lives will change.
