SYNOPSIS:

María de los Ángeles (Lilibeth Morillo) left the convent, where she spent most of her life, without having the slightest idea about her origins, nor that she was the heir to a great fortune and that her life was in danger. Rosalinda, her mother, left her in the convent to protect her from Orquídea Escalante, the young woman's paternal aunt, who in order to keep the fortune that by law corresponds to the young woman is willing to kill her. When she leaves the monastery, María meets Jorge de La Rosa (Marcelo Cezán), a handsome peasant with whom she falls in love. But happiness is far from them because her aunt is not willing to hand over the inheritance she misappropriated and she arranges a marriage between María de los Ángeles and her stepson Rodrigo Arévalo. And it is that for Orquídea, everything goes beyond money. In her youth she was betrayed and her heart only harbors hatred, desire for revenge and thirst for power. But, to carry out her plans, she will have to face Radamés Basanta, author of the pain that Orquídea has dragged for years. The tough man turns out to be the stepfather of María de los Ángeles and will do everything in his power to see the happiness of her stepdaughter. However, the constant abuses of her aunt have already made a dent in the soul of María, who will also try to perpetrate her revenge.
